Founded in 1980 by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, The Sultan’s School scholarship programme supports talented students across Oman, helping them pursue higher education and successful careers. In 1989, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) joined the programme. Through competitive entrance exams, we now see ten students selected yearly at grade 6 to enter the programme, with a maximum of 80 students across all grades. The Scholars programme develops and nurtures a strong commitment to academic, personal and professional excellence. Alumni of the programme thrive in fields like medicine, economics, the arts, and the armed services.
